quattro Santi evangelisti in legno dorato; ridorature, minimi difetti
Condition
From the left of the catalogue picture:
The first:
the book with the corners chipped. The right foot with a minor loss of the fingers cm 1 wide; on the back of the mantel above the base a loss cm 2 wide.
The second:
with two vertical cracks next to the book cm 5 and cm 2 long; on the book an horizontal crack from side to side; one small crack above the base on the left hand side of the left foot cm 4.
The third:
the fingers on the right hand with losses; some cracks on the base.
The fourth:
the right arm broken and restored. The book with a crack and chipped on the corners, six cracks on the base.
All with head and hands probably originally painted and stripped, oxidation, minor chips on the edges and minor cracks throughout.
