Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original, with the turquoise tending more towards an emerald green. There are also more green undertones in the flesh and white of the background in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is minor wear in all four corners with some specks of associated surface media loss. On close examination there are several extremely fine tension cracks in a few places to the extreme overturn edges, and a light unobtrusive rub mark to the lower right corner. A few minute pin-prick sized fly spots are visible on close examination to the left edge and in a few further isolated instances elsewhere. No restoration is apparent under ultra-violet light.
