Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration ae fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly softer, with the red tending more towards deep coral and with more prominent pink tones in the face and racket in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There is some light wear to all four corners and in places along all four extreme edges, with a few fine intermittent hairline tension cracks to the edges and to the top turnover edge. Throughout the composition there are a few isolated small matrices of hairline cracks. A stretcher mark is visible running parallel to the top edge. Examination under ultra-violet light reveals no evidence of restoration.
