Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is deeper and richer in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is light wear to all four coners tips, intermittent hairline tension cracks along all four extreme edges, and a few rub and handling marks, notably to the centre of the two vertical edges. There are two small canvas protrusions adjacent to the top left and right corners resulting from hanging hooks on the reverse. There is a small indentation to the centre of the upper left quadrant. A faint horizontal stretcher mark is running along the upper centre of the composition. On close examination there are a few isolated tiny media accretions and fine faint rub marks in the lower part of the composition. No restoration is apparent under ultra-violet light.
