Condition
This work is in excellent condition. The canvas is not relined. The surface is intact. Under UV light there is no evidence of any retouching.
Colours: the illustration in the catalogue is fairly accurate although it does not convey the richness of the texture. The illustration also tends to be darker than the original.

Lorsque je peins, la figure évolue en même temps que la peinture. Je pars de formes abstraites, de "taches", de coups de pinceau qui s'organisent pour laisser apparaître un visage.
