Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. On the blue bristles the following should be noted: a 1/8 in. diameter loss at the tip of a bristle towards the back and bottom of the bristle group=some slight losses to the rim of an adjacent bristle=wear and loss measuring 1 ¼ in. to the reverse of a bristle at the back of the piece and located 9 in. up from the aluminum casing. On the front of the eraser there is a black 1 in. rub at approximately 7:00 o'clock and a 1 in. scrape on the backside edge of the eraser located approximately between 9 and 10:00 o'clock. There are 2 faint clear drips on the aluminum center element. Scattered airborne dust has accumulated overall. There are various notations related to the installation and de-installation of the work from the base as follows: -some signs of handling to the underside of the red element -a linear black mark measuring ½ in. on the underside of the red element -scratches, scrapes and rubs to the black base -very faint handling prints on the aluminum casing front and back
