Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate. The catalogue illustration fails to fully convey the three-dimensionality of the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There are a number of light and unobtrusive fine scratches scattered throughout the surface. There is some light natural discolouration to the resin throughout, inherent to the artist's choice of medium. There is a diagonal crack to the resin to the centre of the violin, visible in the catalogue illustration, and a further short crack to the bottom of the right side edge. There is another short crack to the lower part of the left side edge and two tiny abrasions beside this. On the reverse of the work, there is a short hairline vertical crack to the right of the violin bridge, and a very small triangular residual tape mark towards the top right corner. There are a few further tape residues to the top of the edge.
