Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is deeper and richer in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to fully convey the three-dimensionality of the original. Condition: This work is in good condition. There is wear to the plexiglas box, notably scratches to the top and bottom edges, a diagonal scratch to the right side of the top edge and further scratches elsewhere to the box. There is fine craquelure to the resin surface adhering the camera elements to the front of the display case, inherent to the artist's choice of media. Some characteristic discolouration of the resin has occurred over time. There is mould growth surrounding the camera elements and in places throughout the resin craquelure. There are several loose fragments of resin in the perspex box. There are tape residues around the artist's signature in the lower right corner, possibly original to the work's execution. There are hanging holes drilled into the plexiglas on the reverse, which have resulted in some associated short cracks and plexiglas deposits within the box. On the reverse of the work, there is a short light media accretion at the lower left corner.
