Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly more vibrant in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is some light wear, surface dirt and artist's smudging to the extreme overturn edges of the canvas, to the side edges and to all four corners. Some minute dust fibres adhere to the surface in places, in particular to the thicker areas of impasto paint. There is a minute tear to the canvas along the right extreme overturn edge, approximately 15cm. above the bottom right corner tip. On close examination there are a few isolated fine scratches to the surface of the plexiglas box, a fine crack to the plexiglas running along the top side edge and a small scuff to the plexiglas surface 30 cm. up from the lower left corner. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
