Condition
This work is in good condition overall. There is moderate wear and handling around the edges. Most notably there is a 4 ½ inch tear to the canvas at the top pull margin ten inches from the left edge. In addition there are scattere abrations to the painted black surface. There is scattered, fine and stable craquelure and scattered spot accretions. There is a fine 2 ½ inch tear to the canvas along the right edge 23 ½ inches from the bottom. Under ultraviolet light inspection there is no evidence of restoration.
