Description
- 85cm. high, 45cm. square: 2ft 9½in., 1ft. 5¾in.
the hinged top opening to reveal appertures for a washbowl and soap-dishes, both originally fitted with a sliding mirror, now lacking, with a dummy drawer, a cupboard door and a drawer below

Thomas Stapleton (d. 1821) of Carlton Hall, thence by descent.
Condition
These are in `country house' condition. One top warped. Both lacking some beading. one top section with a triangular patch. Both lacking mirrors as stated in the catalogue. One swing handle missing. One with a later plywood floor to an interior. Both door panels have age cracks. Two sides with characteristic age cracks. Old marks stains and scratches.
