Provenance
Sir Charles Henry Tempest, 1st Bt. (1834 - 1894), thence by descent to Ethel Mary Tempest (1869 - 1937) who married Miles Stapleton, 10th Lord Beaumont (1850 - 1895) thence by descent.

Condition
The drawer is cracked which will need to be filled. There are hairline cracks generally as visible in the photograph. There are horizontal construction cracks across the top which will need filling. The veneer is liftng in places with some general minor losses. The top is distressed and slightly warped.
