- 21cm; 8¼in
modelled as a young boy seated drawing a classical statue in front of him another boy standing at his side, the base with gilt scrollwork border (some losses and repair)
Provenance
Probably Sir Charles Henry Tempest, 1st Bt. (1834 - 1894), thence by descent to Ethel Mary Tempest (1869 - 1937) who married Miles Stapleton, 10th Lord Beaumont (1850 - 1895) thence by descent.
Condition
Boy standing object held in right hand lacking. Chip to plume in hat. Two small chips to waistcoat. Boy seated - good condition. Pedestal - has been broken off and glued
