  • Large carpet approximately 550 by 520cm., 18ft. by 17ft. 1in.; Smaller carpet approximately 182 by 95cm, 5ft. 11in., 3ft. 1in.

Condition

Large carpet: This is probably a European carpet, in `Sparta' (West Anatolian) style, circa 1900 Needs to be professionally cleaned, especially dirty in the lower left corner. Within the central medallion this is a cut flap, 15cm. high, 12cm. wide (cut on three sides, fixed across top). Other areas of distress, especially around edges. House Sale Condition. Smaller piece (illustrated): This is probably an Indian Rug, circa 1930 reovercast sides, overlocked ends with trimmed fringe. Pile approx. 3mm. Balanced colour overall. Overall fair condition.
