Description
- 104cm. high, 289cm. wide, 75cm. deep; 3ft. 6in., 9ft. 5¾in., 2ft. 5in.
the top adapted and formerly with a superstructure, one pedestal cupboard fitted with a shelf, the other with a lead-lined cellaret drawer
Provenance
Lord Howard of Glossop, probably removed from Lennox Gardens
Condition
Generally in good `country house' condition. The colour and patination are both very good. The top has two diamond shaped patches equidistant from the ends suggesting that there may have been supports fixed there originally for a shelf. The back appears truncated. Old marks and scratches throughout consistent with age and use. The cellaret drawer has its original but badly damaged lead lining. The plinth is rather scuffed and chipped.
