Catalogue Note
Magnifique édition donnée par le secrétaire du cardinal Aldobrandini rassemblant toutes les médailles antiques, de Jules César à Constantin, de la collection du Palais Doria-Pamphilij.
On reconnait sur la reliure les fers et la manière très particulière du relieur royal Le Gascon, dont le décor aux petits fers très fins du dos laisse un ovale en réserve pour y frapper le blason central des plats en réduction.
