Arabic manuscript on thick cream coloured paper, 21 leaves, 9 lines to the page written in clear naskhi script in black ink with diacritics and vowel points in black, large gold rosettes decorated with alternating blue and orange dots between verses, sura heading written in thuluth script in gold with diacritics and vowel points marked in blue, illuminated double-page frontispiece in colours and gold, the four headings in white thuluth in gold cartouches, contemporary brown morocco binding with central oval medallions in gold issuing palmettes above and below, with blind and gold-tooled borders with latticed corners

Condition

In fair overall condition, all leaves with repair to the bottom and lower right-hand corner edges, some staining and smudging, minor losses and rubbing to the binding, including restored spine, ink generally strong, as viewed.
