Description

the slightly curved slender blade of watered steel, the hilt of light-green jade with rounded pommel, carved with foliate motifs and set with twenty-two gold mounted stones, the velvet covered scabbard with en suite gold openwork lock and chape comprising stylised peacocks among flowers 

Condition

In good overall condition. the blade with light patination due to age, the jade hilt has some very minor scratches and all the stones are intact. Velvet fabric is worn but original colour can still be seen, some slight rubbing to gilding at the lock and chape, as viewed.
