SURFACE: in fairly good condition; dirty varnish (could use a cleaning); scattered craquelure throughout lower right in foreground (island with hills and trees--seems quite stable); frame abrasion along the edges; white spots at center, left center, and right (above pine trees) and another blue spot at lower center, just above signature--look like old restorations UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: hard to tell about restoration--certainly the two spots mentioned above are repaints, but there is no fluorescence and old varnish is difficult to see through--interested parties are urged to consult with a professional restorer for more detailed information
