Canvas is not lined. SURFACE: in good condition, generally; minor soiling to canvas
UNDER UV: some scattered inpainting, mostly dots/dashes at upper left quadrant and at lower right; there is a small area (about 1 1/2 by 3/4 in.) of inpainting just left of the fisherman's left arm (no corresponding disturbance on reverse); also, strengthening to a larger area, about 1-1/2 by 3 in. at lower right (in water); figural areas of composition are generally clean
