Condition
in generally good condition, except for a horizontal tear which starts at left edge, center and extends onto image, about 6 1/2 in. (ends under woman's elbow)--a piece of scotch tape covers the section of tear (about 2 3/8 in.) on margin (under mat)--a long piece of masking tape is over the tear on the backing (about 19 1/2 in.), but seems to extend well beyond the tear); aside from this, a paper loss at upper left corner in margin (under mat) and a few scattered smudges, stray marks (most of them in margins under mat). a few scattered areas of minor pigment loss, mainly in the background upper left and above figure's head. On spot of retouching to the left of the figure's face.
