Condition
The timber appears considerably old with evidence of many years of use and has an old shiny patina. The paint work appears to have been applied more recently. There are two holes between the flippers and the shell which may have been used for attachment. There is considerable ware on the underside of the carving, including one hole approximately, 0.5cm across and equally as deep.
