Condition

The canvas is in good original condition. There are areas of minor paint separation across the lower half of the paint surface. There is no sign of retouching under ultra-violet light. Spencer Frederick Gore, Harold Gilman, Robert Bevan and Charles Ginner were all guests of the amateur artist Harold Bertram Harrison at his estate at Applehayes, near Clayhidon in the Blackdown Hills in Somerset.
