Condition

The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This painting is in good condition. It is painted on a loosely gessoed panel. The wood itself has cracked vertically between the two riders and this join has been reattached safely. There are retouches along this old break in the upper left and a few vertical lines of retouch have also been applied to diminish some of the grain from the panel. The remainder of the picture seems to be in very good and fresh condition. If the frame were to be restored, the picture should be hung as is.
