the oval basket pierced with diaper and scrolls below an openwork cast rim of flowers, scrolls, and gardening instruments linking masks of Ceres surmounting dragons, the swing handle supported on dolphins and cast with rococo ornament, the feet cast with high-relief scrolls, foliage and monster heads, the center engraved with a contemporary coat of arms in rococo cartouche

Provenance

The arms are those of Cooke quartering Warren with Twysden in pretence for George Cooke (1710-1768) of Harefield Park, Middlesex, and his wife Catherine, daughter of Sir Thomas Wysden, 4th Bart., whom he married in 1735.
