Catalogue Note
The "California Cup" and "Chet" series were executed by Ken Price at the Gemini G.E.L. workshop in 1991 on the occasion of the 25 year anniversary of the Los Angeles artists' studio. Price, one of the pioneering members of the Los Angeles group of abstract/ceramicists, began experimenting with the cup form at Gemini in the 1970s.
