Condition

This lamp is a creation of Alberto Giacometti for Louis Broder in the 1950’s. It is referenced at the Annette and Alberto Giacometti Foundation as ‘petite suspension Broder’. Giacometti met Louis Broder around 1940/1950. We know of a second ceiling lamp, commissioned for Broder in 1950. We do not know whether this lamp was commissioned for his home or his gallery. They are part of some of the rare ceiling lamps, created by Giacometti for private commissioners and bibliophiles after war.
Very good overall condition
Traces of dirtiness in the corners and inside the dishes, a few traces of oxidation in places, small assembly marks and small golden patina drips.
