Condition

The panel appears to be in good overall condition. The paint surface is intentionally uneven and pitted and appears to be in good overall condition. Examination under ultra-violet light reveals scattered areas of fluorescence which appear to be small retouchings, predominantly to areas of impasto. These may be the work of the artist. Held in a simple rectilinear frame. Please telephone the department on 020 7293 5381 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
