Condition

The work is on wove paper which does not appear to have been laid down onto card, although the work has not been examined out of the frame. There is a shallow diagonal line which runs across the sheet which appears to be a crease. The thicker white paint appears to have dried out in places, so that the surface of this paint is slightly cracked and flaking. The surface of the sheet may be slightly dirty. Held under glass in a gilded frame. Please telephone the department on 020 7293 5381 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
