the top centered by a checkerboard and flanked by four micromosaic plaques depicting the Colosseum, St. Peter's square, the Pantheon, and the Roman Forum, the underside of the top inscribed LM / Rome 1842

Condition

The table base most probably French with the usual minor scratches, dents and nicks to veneers and carcass consistent with age and use. Extensive loss to ebony veneer around the top edge. The base is steady and strong. Traces of wear to the edges of the table base and to the carved foliate decor. The top with the usual extensive minor scratches but no apparent restoration.
