Condition

Overall good condition; extensive losses to the silvering of the bevelled mirror glass banding as visible in the catalogue illustration; the central mirror glass is replaced; the composition in good condition; small age cracks and two small losses to the strapwork banding to the cresting rail immediately to the right of the mask; small cracks to the floral branches flanking the mask and showing wire under layer; overall with the usual nicks, chips and wear to gilding, now showing gesso in places.
