Condition
Original canvas. There are scattered spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, partially obscured by a varnish, notably to the centre left, upper centre and upper right. There are some scattered repairs (patched on the reverse) to the lower half of the composition, some yellowing of the varnish and scattered areas of paint rubbing and minor paint loss along the extreme edges of the canvas. Held in a wide, dark wood frame with a gold-painted accent.
