Condition
Original canvas. There are scattered areas of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably to the sky at the upper left and right corners. Apart from craquelure scattered throughout the composition, scattered minor surface dirt, some light frame rubbing to the lower left edge, and a waxy black mark to the extreme upper left edge, this work is in good condition, with rich colours, a strong surface and fine detail, and ready to hang. Held in a simple, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame, with a name plate.
