Condition
Original canvas. There are scattered spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably to the lower left corner of the canvas and to a fleck of paint loss below the figure's ear. Apart from scattered minor flecks of paint loss and surface dirt, scattered paint shrinkage, notably surrounding the figure's face and emanating from a dent to the canvas near the figure's elbow. Held in a decorative, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
