Condition

Original canvas. There are scattered flecks of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably to an area below the lowest stone arch in the composition. Apart from scattered fine surface dirt, this work is in very good condition, with a strong surface and fine detail, and ready to hang. Held in a simple, cream-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
