Condition
Apart from being folded over at the left and lower edges, presumably to fit the frame (obscuring several Gallen-Kallela stamps at the lower right corner), the sheet is in good condition. Apart from some scattered flecks of very minor surface dirt, this work is in very good condition, with fresh colours. Held in a simple, wide, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame with beading, under glass.

Catalogue Note
Executed in 1907, the figures in the present work derive from one of the frescoes that Gallen-Kallela painted for the Jusélius Mausoleum in Pori in 1903.
