Condition
Original canvas. There are no signs of retouching visible under ultraviolet light. Apart from some minor loss of varnish to the right of the extreme upper edge, and some very fine scattered craquelure, notably to the white areas of heavier impasto, this work is in very good original condition, with strong impasto and colours, and ready to hang. Held in a simple, wide, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame with a name plate.
