Condition
Unlined, craquelure visible in Viking's faces and costumes upper right corner, 3 by 2 inch rectangular patch at lower left under stretcher and a 1 by ½ inch patch at lower left edge; under UV: heavy varnish makes surface difficult to read, two inch horizontal line of inpainting extending from upper left edge, inpainting to address frame abrasion along upper edge, from left side to center, inpainting to address craquelure in Vikings' faces and costumes upper right corner, inpainting to address craquelure in lower right quadrant above woman's arm through child's hair and arm, inpainting to address craquelure to chest of fallen Viking and his arm, a few strokes of inpainting in center flower of garland, inpainting to center lower left edge, one inch square area of inpainting in underneath left Viking's wrist.
