STRUCTURE
The canvas has been lined. There is some very minor paint loss at the extreme lower left edge and a small surface scratch in the extreme lower left corner. There is some very light craquelure to the paint surface. Otherwise in good condition, clean and ready to hang.
UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
There is some cosmetic retouching to the background in the central section and upper left and left corners. There are some further very minor spots upper right of the tortoise and elsewhere.
FRAME
Held in a simple gold painted wooden frame in fair condition.
