Condition

STRUCTURE Both pictures are in excellent original condition with strong colours throughout. There are no signs of craquelure on either picture. Both boards are cockled slightly but this is only viisble on close inspection. These pictures are clean and ready to hang. ULTRA VIOLET LIGHT Under ultra violet light both pictures have an opaque varnish which makes them difficult to read but there are certainly minor retouchings to the edges of each board where they have been rubbed by the rebates of the frames. FRAMES These pictures are contained in matching plaster moulded frames in good condition.
