Condition
STRUCTURE
This picture is unlined and in very good condition with strong colours and areas of rich impasto. There is very fine craquelure particularly in the snow and the sky but this only visible upon very close inspection. The picture appears to be clean and is ready to hang.
ULTRA VIOLET LIGHT
Under ultra violet light there are small areas of retouching on the coat of the dog and the mane and legs of the horse. There are also infillings to craquelure in the snow, to the wall, the shutter and in the sky. These retouchings are not excessive.
FRAME
This picture is contained in a moulded plaster frame in fair condition.
