Description

  • 72.4 cm; 85.1 cm; 34.9 cm; 80.6 cm
the folding rectangular top with figured burr veneers with cross banding and bands of narrow feather banding and with extended rounded corners, opening to a velvet surface fitted with candle stands and counter pockets, the conforming concertina frame on turned cabriole legs carved at the knees with stylized shells and with pad toes.

Condition

With a good old waxed patinated surface with good variations to the color overall. The top with old age crack following the cut of the veneers and with old age cracks and shrinkage following the cleated construction. Counter pockets inserted. Small losses and replacements to the extreme feather-banded edges. The frame with figured veneers and signs of old worm damage. The interior lined with suede with old staining, the feathered edges to the counter pockets and candlestands with small losses.
