with a flat cornice with a dentil molding above a blind fret ornamented frieze, the two glazed doors below with geometric astragals, opening to adjustable shelves above four small drawers, the sloping figured front below opening to a leather-lined writing surface and an interior fitted with an arrangement of small drawers and pigeon holes centered by a small cupboard door flanked by fluted pilasters concealing document drawers, the shaped valance above concealing shallow drawers, above two short and three long graduated drawers with cock-beading, and supported on shaped bracket feet.
Condition
Overall good condition, the upper section with minor losses and crystallization to the mirror glass, the lower section with minor age cracks to side panels, large chip to front left foot, overall with some old marks, scratches, scuffs and bruises consistent with age and use.
