Description
the rectangular upholstered seat with a contemporary needlework cover worked with flowers and leaves in polychrome on a blue ground, within a narrow molded crosscut seat rail continuing to shaped brackets, and a stylized lappet paneled knee and turned legs with pad toes.

Condition
In overall good condition, with good old waxed patination and color. The crosscut moldings have slightly shrunk with age with resulting cracks which can be seen in the illustration. The extreme edge of the moldings and the edges of the pad feet have old rubbing which require careful polish and waxing. The needlework is in overall good condition with fresh colors. There are small areas of loss to the silk threads and areas of reweaving and several small areas which require conservation.
