Description

  • height 22 in.; width 16 in.; depth 14 in.
  • 55.9 cm; 40.6 cm; 35.6 cm
the circular top carved with a pie crust edge, the turned fluted stem above an acanthus carved turning supported on a ring turned collar above a gadrooned cup and a further collar with egg-and-tongue carving, the molded cabriole legs carved at the knees with C-scrolls issuing acanthus leaves and continuing to paper scrolled toes supported on rectangular molded blocks.

Condition

The catalogue illustration is slightly too orange in tone. The top with some old scratches and two old cracks to the edge. There is a small old chip to the pad beneath scrolled foot on one corner. Overall with an excellent color and patination.
