Description

the curved and molded crest rail above two molded solid arms with flat scrolled terminals, and supported on three turned uprights with ring and baluster collars and two vase shaped flat figured splats, the drop-in seat rounded at the front and within a conforming deep seat rail, the front leg of cabriole form with a shell and husk carved knee and a pad foot, the other three plain with similar pad feet within.

Condition

Good old mellow waxed faded surface overall. Usual old marks, scratches and scuffs, the veneers to the frieze with old age cracks. Small old repair crack to curved back at top right and left corner. Right and left pad toes with old reglued breaks with some replacements. Three corner molded brackets later, but with some age. Later internal brackets to front leg. Needlework seat in distressed condition.
