Description

the figured veneered vase shaped splat with a paper scrolled top rail and continuing to curved uprights, the molded shaped arms on shepherd's crook supports, the drop-in seat within a veneered bowed seat rail with a shaped apron and with stylized shell carving at each front corner, the slight cabriole legs carved at the knees with shells and C-scroll brackets and with pad toes, the back legs turned. Condition

Good restored condition with mellow waxed surface of faded color. Some small replacements to veneer overall with small old age cracks throughout, some following lines of construction. Some rubbing to carving at knees and to feet. Usual old scratches and marks throughout. Drop-in seat appears to be original, but the upholstery is lacking.
