- height 16 3/4 in.; width 9 1/2 in.; depth 4 in.
- 42.5 cm; 24 cm; 10 cm
each with a central rose and leaf-cast branch flanked by scrolling peony candlearms and nozzle, above a blue-glass amphora-shaped body with an ormolu collar flanked by acanthus and swan neck handles, each holding chains joined to the collar, its base with a foliage and flower frieze, on a circular spreading shaft, on a square base above a square marble plinth. Minor losses to ormolu flowers.
Condition
Verdigris to the ormolu mounts particularly to the flower branches and bobèches. Some losses to the central rose branches, with a loss to the lower front and left mid-section of one, along with a small stem formerly joining a still extant leaf'. The rose branch on the other candelabrum with a loss to the right mid-section and front upper section. Further minor marks and verdigris to the ormolu mounts. Tarnishing and rubbing to the gilding of the ormolu bases. Old marks, surface dirt and minor scratches to the marble surface, with some minor chips to the edges and corners, consistent with age and use.
