Stamped twice on the top front right and left side. The marble top is original to the piece and in wonderfully preserved condition, with its original patina, surface abrasions, scratches and wear consistent with age and use. Small restorations to the veneer, particularly to the border underneath the marble top. Minor losses to the veneer along the top left drawer, the left side of the border between the drawers and the top left section of the long drawer. With further losses to the left side of the apron. Horizontal age cracks and minor losses to the sides. Minor marks and dents around the ormolu chutes. Greater losses of veneer to the back and sides of the back legs, and the backs of the front legs. The apron has been reinforced underneath, with a visible screw along the left side of the front of the apron. Old worm to the back and small section of the left side, as revealed by a minor loss of veneer. Some rubbing to the mounts, with traces of verdigris in areas, and general surface dirt, particularly to the sabots. The mounts original to the piece. In otherwise good condition.
