Description

  • A bronze figure of Judith with the head of Holofernes
  • After Tiziano Aspetti (1559-1604)

Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is very good. There is some minor wear consistent with age. There are some losses due to flaws in the casting particularly at the base and the drapery behind her right leg. There is a small crack due to fissure to the back of her neck. A joint running along the underside of the base and up the figure indicates the figures was cast in two halves.
